Mina Kafkaletou
Assistant Professor of Pomology – Postharvest Handling of Fruits
Research interests
- Physiology of climacteric and non-climacteric fruits.
- Application of modern postharvest techniques, such as the use of Dynamic Controlled Atmospheres during the storage of tree fruits.
- Investigation of suitable storage conditions (temperature, packaging type, use of modified atmospheres, etc.), aiming to extend storage life while maintaining fruit quality and nutritional value.
- Preharvest treatments with plant growth regulators, plant metabolites and innovative formulations in tree fruit crops, aiming to improve fruit quality at harvest and after harvest.
